Hammerli Way
Shanes Park NSW 2747

On The Day –
You will need to have:
• 2 Forms of ID (one must be photo)
• Membership payment – our fees are yearly (Exp 31st October every year) and are calculated by the month of joining (eg join in November = $508/12months; join in March = $376/7months)
• Safety Glasses/hearing protection (if you have it – otherwise you can borrow from the club)
• Enclosed shoes
You will then go through the Pistol Safe Handling Course with our Club Captain and VC’S. There is a fair bit of paperwork on the day so may be a good idea to bring a folder of some sort to keep all the paperwork together.
At the conclusion of the course you will have your Photo taken and receive your Safe Handling Certificate which needs to be sent to FAR along with the two forms you will receive from them in the coming weeks.
You will need to get a Request for firearms application which consists of two pre-filled forms that NSW Firearms Registry will mail out to you after you send your request.
These can be completed at:
http://www.police.nsw.gov.au/online_services/firearms/request_for_firearms_license_application_form
or you can ring them and do it over the phone : 1300 362 562
You do not need to have these papers on the day, but it is best to get them signed as soon as you do get them as it takes 6-8 weeks for your licence application to be processed.
The cost of membership covers all costs except for Gun Hire, ammunition and your score card with target, these will be a total of $16 extra and this will be the charge each visit until you are able to purchase your own gun (all members are welcome to use other members guns if they are invited to do so however, until probationary H licence is issued new shooters must be under the supervision of the Captain or Vice Captains when shooting).
There are a fair few more pieces of information but we will go through them with you on the day.
We hope to see you soon,
BPC.
