Blacktown Pistol Club was established in 1963. The club moved to its current location in 1964.
Blacktown Pistol Club has an outstanding facility at which members and visitors can compete and practice matches of many disciplines. Members can shoot ISSF matches ("Olympic" Style Matches) including Air Pistol, Sports Pistol, Centrefire, Standard, Rapid Fire & Free Pistol. Other matches include Service, 25M Service, Black Powder, IPSC, Steel Challenge and International 1920 Match (also known as Action Match) & Single Action.
Over the years, the club has hosted numerous State and National Championships and several World Championships.
